POSTING for Sunday, January 21st - Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 〰️

Dear Facebook Family, our new year is quickly sprinting forward as I wish you a journey of Good Health & Prosperity, all of which require FOCUSED COMMITMENT. Ecclesiastes 9:11 (KJV) reminds us, “…that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” This week, we explore COMMITMENT and FOCUS.

Our world is filled with mountains, hills, valleys, and plains. These earthly images depict principles of our daily living. We are required to develop the ability to engineer and navigate these pathways as we focus and commit to the process. Like Stephen Covey, we need to develop the habit of seeing the end from the beginning, true in all aspects of life. The journey of life is multifarious, to say the least. It cannot be traveled like we would a yearly vacation or even the short months of caring for an infant who will soon develop into a toddler. It’s more than caring for a senior family member for a few years of a lifetime, even though this feat can sometimes seem unending. Traversing this life is a daily commitment, often including all the events mentioned.

For some, it may appear to be a pleasure, and for others, a daily grind, but in all cases, it is work! Perhaps the most important ingredient is following through to the end because your final victory, success, and accomplishment are at the end of your journey. Most people make some kind of commitment at the beginning of a New Year, but some never experience or see the fulfillment of their commitment, because they get distracted and lose focus. Ingrid shared candidly two weeks ago about her “Divine Acceleration” weight loss experience in 2023. I want the world to know how thrilled I am for her focused commitment to health and wholeness! I am thankful to be married to an amazing woman!! She is so determined to maintain her victory for the long haul!!!

As expressed earlier, Ecclesiastes 9:11b (KJV), “...Time and Chance is given to all,” but hard work brings forth results of fruits and rewards! The 100-meter race is one of the shortest races we know, but winning that race requires gruesome practicing with intensity to reach the finish line first! With COMMITMENT and FOCUS, you get to taste the sweet reward. We invite you to join the conversation for the next two weeks, and I challenge you to visit Amazon.com and be one of the 50 friends to purchase Ingrid’s 3rd volume of “Shades of Purple: DECADES of My Life”! Each purchase will represent one pound she victoriously lost in 2023 as you help me CELEBRATE my 79th birthday this week!!
