FRIENDSHIP, what a refreshing thought for this new month. Hi, Facebook Friends. In just one week and a few days, this country and many places around our globe will go on record as celebrating LOVE. We wish to get in front of the celebration, which can reek of commercialism, and say that love and friendship are siblings.

God said in Genesis 18:17 (AMP), “…Shall I keep secret from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do,”. St. John 15:15 (KJV) records Jesus saying, “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” It grieves us to hear divorced couples say, “Now that we are divorced, we have become friends.” Friendship should be the start and maintenance, not the result of the exit of marriage. These next two weeks, we are addressing the need for growth in our level of transparent communication. God the Father and the Son both highlight that characteristic of friendship. It is the idea of not hiding or keeping secrets from one’s friends.

We invite you to join the conversation as we challenge our global family to strengthen our marriages through deepening FRIENDSHIP.
