Dear Facebook friends, it is great to be a part of 2024. We know that God’s purpose must be fulfilled, and that requires our obedience. That’s the word we choose to begin this NEW YEAR, OBEDIENCE. Whitbourne rejoices with me (we are one flesh) over the transition God gave me beginning in January 2023. I entered last January 50 pounds heavier than I have entered January 2024. Our testimony is that “Obeying God allows us to manifest His “Divine Acceleration”.

The birth of Daniel and Deborah in May of 1985 to July 2023 marked 38 years of my struggle to beat the 200-pound mark. Yet after what seemed a forever uphill battle, I heard God’s encouraging voice speak to me in the final worship experience of 2022 as Pastor John Walker cast the vision for the new year, “Divine Acceleration”. My spirit leaped and my faith came alive once again. God gave me the promise that my obedience to His voice would manifest the result. He set me on a course of daily exercise (swimming) and a lifestyle change of eating. One of the benefits was the joy of celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary in a new body.

With about 40 pounds still to go, I confess His Word which declares, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it (Isaiah 1:19-20, KJV). We agree to OBEY God and His principles so that we can enjoy the “good of the land” in our marriage this year.
