Hello, FACEBOOK friends and family. This month is always so SPECIAL for Whitbourne and me because four of our seven offspring sprung in May. Vietta, the firstborn of the Hutchinson crew, raves about being born precisely one year and one month after our wedding day, on May 18, 1974. Verona, third in line, joined her as a May baby in 1979 (May 30) on none other than Memorial Day. How can we ever forget? Now, the last of our children, Deborah and Daniel (twins), would have been born in August, but at 27 weeks of gestation, they appeared on May 9, 1985, instead. Who would have thought it?
Venere, second offspring and first-born son, had his unique time of birth on July 21, 1975. So, he decided to have birthday companionship when he married our darling Daughter-in-Love, Dana, whose birthday is also July 21st. They triple-sealed the date by marrying on July 21st. Venere Emanuel was always flaunting his uniqueness. Finally, our twin boys, Victor and Vincent, born in St. Thomas, USVI, made their mark by being the middle-month men. They were born on June 7, 1984, three months premature.
Please don’t try to figure any of it out; God knew it would make for a uniquely intriguing story. WE BLESS THIS MONTH OF MAY, CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF OUR magnificent May-born OFFSPRING. For those who do not already know, our three sons, born in June and July, have gone before their siblings into eternal life. To our remaining May babies, we let the world know, in this post, that Dad and I LOVE you so very much, EACH of you - so uniquely designed and gifted for God’s glory to be revealed on the Earth. One of our greatest gifts in our offspring is the FRIENDSHIPS we share with them. God has helped us to bring them to maturity, and we love having them as friends.
That's what friends are for.
In just over two weeks, in memorial of Victor and Vincent, our newest book, co-authored by Whitbourne and I, will hit the press! [It is the culmination of 29 posts from our anniversary Facebook Project in 2023 {January 1 ~ July 16}.] Look out for “Marriage is 4 Real People” (publication date, June 7, 2024). It will definitely be the “hot pick” at the upcoming International Assembly booth. The booth is entitled “FEATURING CARIBBEAN AUTHORS.” You inspired us to write it because of our “Pre-Anniversary” post, so HERE IT COMES!! Get in on the conversation for the next 14 days.
